Nicholas continues to be a little monkey with great skills for swinging around. Check out his latest moves on the bar at Centerpointe park.
Baby planning is definitely a lot different than wedding planning. The baby is here forever, where a wedding takes place on one day and then it's over. With 3 weeks until our anniversary, I was feeling sad tonight that it is coming up so soon as I had such a good time with friends and family. I'm glad that baby planning is occupying me daily to keep me busy. At 22 weeks, we've managed this week to pick up a crib and find a doula . I was finally able to make it to Kiddytown last week to check out the cribs. The decision was simple as the crib I chose was the right price, included a mattress and doesn't require any additional pieces to turn it into all the other bed options when Nicholas grows. Doula Search Done I also completed my interviews of 3 doulas and have picked one that I think will do a great job for us. They were all extremely nice, gentle and friendly woman. I talked to one nasty doula -- imagine that -- on the phone who was a bit too vocal about her phi...
We're almost at the finish mark and Nicholas is still relaxing inside. I think he's quite comfy in my belly, enjoying the warmth and good food that I feed him everyday. Cam made some amazing pancakes this morning and we just finished some delicious beef stew for dinner. Belly at 39 weeks This weekend was definitely all about nesting - after having two weeks off from work, I finally got cracking on getting the apartment cleaned and his clothes organized. We initially moved all the stuff in the 3rd bedroom to the hallway to make way for the nursery and it's been there ever since. My goal this week is to completely clear it out so that we're completely done. We did manage to get another Ikea bookshelf setup to add more space and I vacuumed like mad. The baby will come home to a clean house. Cam finally setup the BOB - named the Beast of Burden - with the car seat attachment. We tested out the swivel wheels in the apartment. His clothes are now also fully or...
I've officially made it to my 6th month without blowing up like a whale! I have taken on some new names from Cam, such as Teletubby, chubby - all in good fun though. I'm even planning to go to whatever Halloween event as a Teletubby - when else would I get to show off a natural belly in a costume! hahah. Cravings are known to happen to women during pregnancy, so thought I'd share the foods that I've been happily overdosing on: Blueberries: For at least 3 months, I was having a pint of blueberries every day. Kirsten and Sue at work watched in amazement as I brought in the daily pint to eat. Thank goodness blueberries were often on sale at various grocery stores, and were large and juicy. I hope Nicholas doesn't turn out to be a blue smurf! Cherries: They were irresistible in June/July. I believe I overloaded as it made me constipated!! eeks. Not good for pregnancy. They were delicious though - especially the ones from Washington. Dairy Milk Chocolate Fruit & Nut ...
