I enjoyed my 28th week off on holidays. The first weekend, I spent with my mom at the Hilton where I sat by the pool for two days loving every minute under the sun.
It's been over a year and a half since my last entry....sigh. I had every intentions of keeping track of Joshua's development, but the addition of a second boy has meant double the work. You quickly realize how much time you used to have when you have children! Now, there's virtually no time for anything but to survive. Joshy is now 18 months old . When I bring him to school with Nicholas, everyone marvels at how he is a replica of Nicholas. His personality is very different though - he doesn't have the serious nature of Nicholas and he is quite strong willed. He knows what he likes, and doesn't like. He has about 35 words now, so he's moved on from just "dada", which was basically his whole vocabulary at 1 years old. Current favorites: medeo means again; nooooo!; cereal; Johua (pointing at himself), purple, turtle, apple, nai nai, peck peck (after I showed him a woodpecker), elmo (whom he loves). He loves to eat, unlike Nicholas and lately we fi...
Easter is here and so is winter. After such a long winters that forced the boys to spend most of their time indoors, we decided that we needed to get away. I took the boys down to Toronto to visit their cousins - Melia (2) and Aiyla (4 months). The girls have grown so fast and the boys were excited to see them, and Auntie Ami and Uncle Danny. We spent Friday morning doing an Easter Egg Hunt that was organized by Danny's friend in a park near her house. The hunt was well organized and the kids loved it. I bought bunny ears for them all and they have enjoyed wearing them. After the hunt, we went to lunch in Unionville. It was 16 degrees out, so we were able to find a patio to enjoy the nice day! Since we were close to the zoo, we made a quick trip to the zoo to see the pandas, lion, lion, otter, polar bear - Joshy wanted to see the elephants but we never came across them. Nicholas was a monkey and climbed all over the place - if we weren't watching, I'd swear that he woul...
It's been an amazing two-week journey with the arrival of Nicholas on Dec. 5th. Every time I go to update the blog, I am called to a feeding that can sometimes last hours. Nicholas is finally in his bassinet now, giving me a few moments to give an update. First off, I'll start with the birth story! Our little Nicholas finally arrived on Saturday, Dec. 5th at 11:56 am. He was supposed to be induced on Dec. 6, which also happens to be Saint Nicholas Day, but we were able to avoid the inducement as he decided to bravely enter the world early Sat. morning. I had a hunch that he was going to come on Sat. as I had some physical signs on Friday, including the loss of my mucous plug. Cam and I enjoyed our last night out by dining at New Mee Fung where I slurped back a mango shake with tapioca balls and devoured my wrap dish. We rented a comedy for the evening - Run Fatboy Run (very funny) and then proceeded to go to bed. Before I went to bed, I called the hospital to inquire what...
