Pink Lake Walk, Gatineau Park

Last weekend, we enjoyed an amazing walk on Sunday afternoon at Pink Lake in the Gatineau's. The leaves are on the bring of changing their colors, so we were able to enjoy some red and orange trees. They are still mostly green at the moment, but a few short weeks will definitely mark the true colors of fall.

Easter Weekend April 2015

Easter is here and so is winter. After such a long winters that forced the boys to spend most of their time indoors, we decided that we needed to get away. I took the boys down to Toronto to visit their cousins - Melia (2) and Aiyla (4 months). The girls have grown so fast and the boys were excited to see them, and Auntie Ami and Uncle Danny. We spent Friday morning doing an Easter Egg Hunt that was organized by Danny's friend in a park near her house. The hunt was well organized and the kids loved it. I bought bunny ears for them all and they have enjoyed wearing them. After the hunt, we went to lunch in Unionville. It was 16 degrees out, so we were able to find a patio to enjoy the nice day! Dealing with H1N1

The reality of H1N1 really hit me this week - up until this week, I thought nothig of it, besides washing my hands more vigorously. In truth, I really never thought that hard about it until I found out that a few people I knew personally were affected by the virus. While they are all recovering, it was quite a scary moment to think how it can actually hit people you know. Cam did some research and I waited a day before I did some more reading of my own. Part of the paranoia was because I spent the day at the office by myself with my own thoughts, so that likely contibuted to some of my anxiety. In the end, Cam and I decided to get the shot for Nicholas' sake. We heard at a party the night before that another pregnant woman was able to get the shot by going to the clinic half an hour before it closed. I tried on Friday to get a number for the Centennial location, but they gave out their last numbers 2 hours before the clinic opened. I was likely 30 minutes too late. They also were...
